The Companies Act, Act 71 of 2008 was signed by the President on 8 April 2009 and gazetted in Gazette No. 32121 (Notice No. 421). The Act replaces the Companies Act, 61 of 1973 and came into effect on 1 May 2011.
Company registration is a 2 tier process consisting of:
- Name reservation (Cost R150)
- Company registration (Cost R300)
What is required for name reservation
At least one name is required but preferably 3 suitable names.
Names can include the symbols +, &, #, @, %, =,

We require the certified copies of the bar-coded ID documents of each director and the physical and postal address of each director.
We also require the physical and postal address for the business.
